We have an Article 4 Direction!
An Article 4 Direction was made on Box Wood on the 22nd July 2020 by East Herts District Council.
An article 4 direction is a direction under article 4 of the General Permitted Development Order which enables the Secretary of State or the local planning authority to withdraw specified permitted development rights across a defined area.
This will mean that a planning application for work would have to be submitted when you normally do not need one.
Article 4 directions are made when the character of an area of acknowledged importance would be threatened. They are most common in conservation areas hence why we have been lucky to have this issued on Box Wood so quickly!
