Replanted Ancient Woodland – Authorities are directed to REFUSE planning permission if development will result in the loss or deterioration of ancient woodland. This covers destroying, damaging or compacting soil, tree roots, fauna / fungi or vegetation under trees, polluting, changing water table / drainage, damaging archaeological features. An impact assessment is required BEFORE any potential development.
